New EP, “Great Again!” Released

Welp, it’s here!  Our new 4-track EP, “Great Again!” is available for sale on iTunes, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, Google Play, and oh-so-much-more.  Better yet, you can stream it for free on Spotify!

“Great Again!” was recorded and mixed at our studio, The Hangar, in Wall Township, New Jersey entirely by us.  The album features the following wonderful lads:

Daimon Santa Maria – Lead vocals
James McCaffrey – Guitar, vocals
Randy Preston – Guitar
Cody McCorry – Bass, theremin
Kevin Grossman – Drums, percussion
Jake Hughes – Keys
Joe Gullace – Trumpet
Ian Gray – Trombone

The EP’s are also available at our shows for a measly $5, complete with album artwork by our very own Daimon.  As we are getting these into your hands, we are hard at work on our full-length for release slated for the end of the summer.  Keep your ears open!

New Album, New Members, and Beyond

Oh yes. It’s 2017. The dawn of a dark new era on planet Earth. To make that a little more tolerable, we’ve begun tracking a new record at our recording studio, The Hangar. The KJ family has now grown to include Daimon Santa Maria (Bone & Marrow) singing his sweet, sweet heart out and Jake Hughes (Hive Mind) on keys, both of whom will be featured on the album. Keep on the lookout – we will be posting content to keep you up to date on the sounds emanating from our compound in Wall, NJ.

In the meantime, we’ll be playing a hushed set next Monday, March 20th at The Saint in Asbury Park with our buddies in Thank You Scientist and Sentient Moss. Come keep us warm!

KJ at Jamsgiving 11/18

Convention Hell last weekend was unreal.  Thanks to Dark City Entertainment for putting that thing on.  If you’d like to get a taste of the night, check out a little (big) video of our “Close To The Edge” performance below.  You may like it.

As for what’s next: We’re joining Z3, We Used To Cut The Grass, Bernard Purdie, TM Stevens, and a hell of a lot more at Paul’s Tavern in Belmar next Friday, November 18th for Turtle Soup’s Jamsgiving event.  It might be a good time to get together and feel thankful for something. We’re still here.  More info is available here.

Let’s face it: this week was disturbing for many reasons.  Let’s pick up the pieces and try to make something positive happen.  Not just now, but for as long as we can.  Be cool…

“Bottomless Gypsy Pit” On Parade

Here’s a little clip from our latest outing at the 2016 Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade on our Hangar-made festivity float.  Sure, it isn’t exactly what you’d expect from a traditional Irish celebration, but it is celebratory in its own right.  Thanks to The Saint, the City of Asbury Park, and cameraMAN (he likes that) Rob Warhurst for capturing it.

Live From The Sun Rebroadcast

Rebroadcast of the (award-winning!) Driving Jersey Live From The Sun documentary featuring yours truly is on TONIGHT at 8PM on NJTV/PBS, highlighting our journey to the sun to ask to borrow some energy for theSun Lab Studio. Sun said yes and let us use it on the roof of Langosta Lounge. He’s real liberal like that.

Tune in, turn on, crap out…

Asbury Park St. Patty’s Day Parade

We’re going to be on our very own homemade float tomorrow in the Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade!  To top it off, we’ll be running our gear off of the solar-powered Sun Lab Studio and recording it for release!  Sponsored by Scott Stamper and the good people at The Saint.  The parade kicks off at 1PM at 4th Ave and Ocean.

In case you need a reminder of what happens when a town gives an ill-fitting band the okay to join their festivities, here’s a taste of last year’s experience:

Hot Off The Presses – New KJ Shirts!

Yup! New threads now in stock and will be available at our performances. We went with some comfy black Bella + Canvas tees for this run, so not only can you be the coolest, but you can also be snug sporting your FAVORITE gang of earsplitting nitwits. How cool is that? Going for the modest price of $15, why stop at one? How about Grandma? She needs a new shirt.
